The method
A double coat protects with its outer layer and insulates with a dense undercoat beneath. When that undercoat releases, it has nowhere to go — so it ends up on your floors. The rake gives it somewhere to go.
The complete ritual in five steps: position, pull through, remove, clean and repeat.
The teeth pass between the outer hairs at a fixed depth, catching hair that has already shed. Rounded, polished tips mean they separate the coat instead of scraping skin.

Choose a quiet moment. Run your hand along the coat once or twice so your pet knows what's coming.

Work in short, light strokes in the direction of the coat. Let the weight of the handle do the work — never press.

Clear the teeth, smooth the coat with your palm, and end the session while your pet is still relaxed.
